I have 8 GP3188 radios, a cable, interface box and a legal copy of the CPS.  I can read and program the radios, but I am getting confused about some of the functions (stick monitor, scan lists, etc).  Every time I think I have understood the logic of it all, the radio does something I don't expect!

Is there a CPS guide for dummies I could get hold of?

Thanks

I didn't recognise the model number, so googled it.

Looking, its looks to be a CP040 radio, but from the Asian region.

Although most of the Motorola radios look physically the same throughout the world, their programming can be totally different - for instance the HT series in America, has totally different features to the GP series here, although physically they are the same radios.

As you have a legitimate copy of the CPS, it will have the help file (a lot of the pirates don't!) - press F1 and it will come up with the help box Theres loads of bits you can learn from there with regards to individual features.

There is no guide really, unlike the trbo series, that has the system planner document, that guides you through everything you could ever want to do.

If you come up against anything specific you don't understand, come back here and ask the question, and we will attempt to help you along. As I have said though, none of us will have access to that version of the CPS, which may, or may not be different to the UK / EMEA version !!

Why didn't I think of hitting the F keys!

The help files all showing and I am learning away.

Thank you for that - problem solved.
