I have two VHF GM340s which seem to have their front panel buttons disabled.

When powered on, the radios illuminate button 3 and give a warning beep if any other button is pressed. I have been able to use ComTool to reprogram the frequency associated with the default button/channel, but cannot find a way to enable the other buttons to be selected.

I can provide the codeplug and would be grateful for any assistance or advice.

Many thanks in advance,

Paul

Sounds like it has been used on a data system which disables the channel selection, look for channel steering in the the in/out interface and disable

Thank you very much for your advice - you were spot-on!

I had been through the most obvious menus and comapred them to a known good GM340, but hadn't considered the I/O lines. When I finally got round to looking at it, I was able to disable channel steering and get it up and running in a matter of minutes.

Thanks once again.
