Hi all.

Have these units, and I believe I have the correct software PR GP300/GM300 CPS Asia/australia version (PMVN4039J, PMVN4040J. The cable I purchased off ebay for the 328, but I was told they use the same cable, when I run the softwar on an XP computer, the program freezes (no response), and when I put it on an older window 98 computer, I get an error message "codeplug version not supported by this CPS", not sure what this means. So I need some help.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Robert,

As I am sure you are aware this is a UK based forum, but we have lots of people from all over the world contributing.

Assuming that your CPS works in the same way as the EMEA CPS that error usually means the firmware/codeplug version on the radio is too new for the CPS to read. Usually best to have the latest CPS, which as a general rule will read all of the previous firmware/codeplug versions.

The XP PC should work perfectly fine for this version of CPS, infact it is the ideal OS to be running the CPS on- I'm not quite sure why it works fine with 98, but not XP.

Maybe try it on another XP computer, and check that you have an up to date version of the CPS.

Ben.

As well said by Ben, PMVN4039J PMVN4040J CPS is old release R03.04.02.

Try to locate more recent version (PMVN4039X PMVN4040X CPS R03.11.16)

Robert,

If I'm not wrong, you should use Professional Radio Series CPS R06.12.04 AZ-PMVN4034Z for  GP338/GP328/GM338/GM328/GP328PLUS/GP338PLUS/GM398 model radios while R03.11.16-AS PMVN4039X &PMVN4040X for GP339, GP399, GP329 PLUS, GP339 PLUS, GM339, 399, 330

Hello Robert,

The software you require is R03.11.16-AS as quoted
by Mustafa which is correct, here is the URL to
download your software being 8.18MB in size,
*********link to illegal software removed************

The software is a current 32 bit application and runs
OK on a computer running 32 bits Windows XP.

Regarding the Motorola RIB (Radio Interface Box)
programming cable, the pin outs may be obtained
from http://www.batlabs.com click on to GM340 to
obtain the information required for your radio.

Hoping the supplied information will assist you in
programming your Motorola GM339 Mobile Radio.

Best of Luck !

Yours sincerely,

Bert

You cannot add links to pirate software - if you do it again you will be banned
