Title: Codeplug password problem
Post by: MsS on July 01, 2019, 05:27:57 PM
Hi all,

I need some help please, I was given some radios from a company that no longer exist and when I tried to programme them I found out that they were password secured. I can not get in contact with anyone from the company to find out the password. Unfortunately I don't have a blank DP4601e codeplug. Does anyone have a copy I could have by any chance? I've got a cps 16.0.

I have tried RECOVER but I am greeted by the response “No Matching Package(s) exist”
I have tried UPDATE but again I am greeted by the response “No Matching Package(s) exist”

I have also tried to use one of the sample files but the message I get is “Unable to write. Serial Number in archive and device must be the same. Try clone device if applicable”

Any help would be very helpful and greatly received. I have 4 of these radios in total so if I am able to find the code plug password out I would be able to change the information on all 4 however I would prefer to wipe them and start again.

Many Thanks

Mike

Thank you.

Did you tried to clone the default codeplug?

Have you got the firmware packages installed onto the machine you are using to try to recover the radios ?. From the message, it looks like the computer isn't detecting it.
