Depends on how low yoiu want to go? Normally you can get them down to half a watt usin g the alignment software and test equipment.

Are you trying to put them on pmr446 per chance (or trying to do your best to make the radio comply with the regs) ?

If so, theres more than just restricting power output - theres things like non removeable antenna, etc etc

Depending on what you are trying to achieve with them, 500mw, and a removed antenna might be enough ?

Im seeing a power rating in watts. You are going to 'per radio' and then RF, arent you ?

One other thing, are you using the EMEA software, as different versions seem to have different options (Apologies - I know this is a UK forum, but from time to time, people do come on here from other regions, and neglect to mention it, so we give all the wrong advice !)

Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't the RF power option in CPS only available for mobiles? Its greyed out for portables, i.e. the GP340; at least it is for me

I'm in the UK.

Yes, the Help files mention the 'RF' selection is for mobiles, not portables.

you are right guys, I was looking at a gm series !!!!!!! apologies !.

On the GM series you can do it easily !.

On the GP series, it would seem only the labtools have it on, although if you dont know what you are doing with the labtools, then dont touch it, as you can fry the radio / make it as deaf as a post.

Do you have access to a scope ? - if so, I can (if I can find it) send you a copy of the alignment guide, and you can see what you have to do.

Sorry, perhaps my post didnt make it clear.

YES you should be able to do it. IF you have the labtools, and a SCOPE. It IS possible.

IF you dont know what you are doing, you can EASILY turn your radio into a paperweight.

If you arent sure (which it seems to me that you aren't), then take it to a dealer and ask them to do it - should cost you no more than about £12 (usual programming charge).

I did offer in my last post to get you the alignment guide, so you can see whats involved. To be fair, its not worth you bricking a radio for the sake of £12. If the dealer does it, its their lookout, and you get a free replacement.
