Hi!

I have GP900-99 whitch is a nice radio but Motorola did a funny thing  with channel alias.
You can only assign number 0-2 for the first four segments and 0-9 for the last two.
So impossible to assign frequency  ( like 145500 ) to the channel.
I did some hex editing in the .odb file to change 0-2 option to 0-9 but not much luck.

This is the top display on the GP900-99:

View in the rss menu

After hex editing it show 0-9  but won´t take numbers 3-9

Maybe someone with more experience in hex editing can help me ?!

Hi,

I'm thinking to another solution, use MT2100 controller board instead of GP900-99, you will have 255 channels and complete 8 caracters display....need to re-align board before use.

I have spare controller board for 1200/2100 series...

Bye.
