We have 2 Radius GP300 units that we have been using over the weekend approximately 30 feet apart. My unit has performed great. I can hear all other users on the net. The other unit is deaf  - with no apparent pattern. It can hear 4 units at varying other spots around the venue, the other 10 units (approx) were either not heard of only with poor reception or heard dependent on location (mobile units). We swapped units during the morning as my use wasn't as "critical", and I had the same issues with the deaf unit while my normal unit was functioning fine in the other location.

The venue is a motor-sport circuit which is near flat terrain, one of the unheard locations is only approx 250 yard (max) away in clear sight. After swapping, the other user remarked that the audio on mine seems louder in relation to the amount of rotation of the volume from lowest setting - and I do know that with an ear-piece in use the volume on my unit can be above the pain threshold if at the higher end

Any suggestions about likely causes and cost of remedy/ turnround time would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a plan...

I might take the unit to an event this weekend as we are both working, and leave the good one with the other user and use a scanner for RX on my post - the TX on the deaf unit seems fine.... so I'm covered for comms (the clubs own radios seem to have battery life issues)

I just have a few supplemental questions.
1. How fast can you turn this around?
2. How do you prefer payment?
3. Will you need the battery with the unit? I might be able to borrow a club unit but would prefer to use my known "Good" battery with it. If you don't need the battery I can get the unit off to you in the next day or so.

TIA.

Hi there,

Payment is possible via PayPal or by proding card details over the phone.
Turn around is usually 3 to 4 business days.

To resurrect an old question.. Im now in a position to part with the unit for a while. so can we set up something to get it sorted out in the next couple of weeks?

Do u need the battery or can I leave that off when I post it to you?

paypal would probably be the best payment method for me.

cheers.

Hi there,
we will be moving offices at the end of this week. If you can get the radio off to us tomorrow to get to us latest thursday that will be fine. Otherwise send it on Friday to each us after the end of this month. New and old address can be found on our www.protea-electronics.co.uk
Regards
Mike
