the video guides that dave made are excellent at getting your head round the wonderful world of selcall programming.

Its not as simple as adjusting one thing - there are several bits in several parts of the programming that you have to change to get it to work. Once you master it though, you wont forget it again !.

Hi George,

thank you for your reply, how do I access the Videos? I am a Basic Member, do I need to upgrade my subscription?

Urrrm !. Im sure Rob will be along shortly to clarify, but yes, I think you do need to be a paid up member to access the videos. Well worth it though - If you take a look, and dont quite get anything, post back.

Hi George,

Thanks for the info, sounds like the videos are a must see for me to get my head round the world of Selcall, I still can't seem to view the videos even though i have paid so I have sent a email and hopefully i'll get to see them soon, I've set up Icom radios before with selcall id's etc but the GM360 CPS is alot more sophisticated than i'm used to.

Hi,

I've sort of got my head around how to setup a selcall and assign it to a "P" button, but has anyone got any tips for setting up the multicall feature? ideally id lke to be able to change the last two digits? of the selcall sequence. also how do I send the selcall information from the contact list?

really sorry for all the questions

Hi guys,

I've been playing about with the selcall and I've managed to get my Gm360 to receive a CCIR selcall but I'm struggling to send a call, I just can't seem to work out how to eithe enter the 5 tone digits or send from the contact list, I've watched the videos and still not sure, am I being dumb? I've set up my icom portable without any problems but just can't get my head round how the motorola CPS works.

Anyone got any clues?

Yep, the icom cps is a lot easier !.

We usually use EEA signalling in the uk - it sounds nicer too !.

Good to see you have got most of it to work - I cant remember off the top of my head how to send off the contact list - or if its possible. I ended up assigning certain calls to individual buttons. To get it to send a selcall every ptt, go to per personality, ptt, and then set it to send telegram every ptt.

I'm pleased that my video guides have been useful. Selcall is not a 5min job to setup.
