HI,
I am having real problems getting my computer to read the GM300 I have recently purchased - keeps saying enure RIB and radio are turned on - which they are! The software is able to read my other radio a GM380 and programmes that fine.

Anyone got any ideas or suggestions.

Hi,Dave is wright you need a slower computer .I'm use Pentium II on 366Mhz ,Windows 98 SE works just fine, but I programming a radios from DOS not from windows. What cable do you use from radio to RIB,there is some differents between cable for professionals GM3x0 and old GM300 and software that you use for programming a GM380 is not a software for programming  the old GM300.

I am using an old PC running Windows 98SE to program all my radios - never had a problem when I used to program my GP300 although that doesn't seem to be working now either. I have both a RIB and cable and a ribless cable neither of which allow me to read the radio. The software I am using is Motorola RSS version R01.00.00 Europe, I use a similar RSS from DOS for the GP300's

HI, got the GM300 sussed. If I wanted to program this as a repeater with another GM300 is there anything that needs to be changed? ie. does it have to be programmed in repeater mode or can it just be linked to another GM300 via the accessory port using an aftermarket cable and have the frequencies programmed appropriately?
