How to program a GP340 with "Auto Acknowledge"
for stand alone distance tests? Give me a hint.
with Auto Acknowledge

Is this the way to do it??

On the remote radio
Set dec 1 to 12345
Set auto ack to tgm 1 on that decode
Set enc 1 to 12121
Maybe set the pre time to 2550 msec, the max, to
give you a bit of blank carrier to listen to so you can judge the S/N.
Set tgm 1 to enc 1
Set dec 1 in the personality for the channel you are using
On the local radio set a side button to send call 1
Set call 1 to tgm 1 in personality
set tgm 1 to enc 1
set enc 1 to 12345
Make sure both are using the same tone set, ie eea
when you send 12345 from the local radio it will be decoded by the
remote radio which will send 12121 back to you.
