I know we are a bit short on members, but does anybody have a good contact for Genunine Motorola parts? Specifically:-
- GP series covers
- GP series dust covers
- GP series speakers
- GP380 series keypads

Regards, Mark.

takes me about 10 min to do a full cover change

take the nobs off the top first then remove battery and ease the radio out of the case.

Official removal procedure of radio mainboard:

1) Remove battery pack

2) Rotate volume knob to 12 o'clock position (to avoid the shaft pulling out of the pot base)

3) Lever volume knob off using chassis/knob removal tool (unofficially: OR PLIERS ETC!)

4) Lever channel knob off using chassis/knob removal tool (unofficially: OR PLIERS ETC!)

5) With radio face down, insert chassis tool into groves at bottom end of chassis plate and lever (unofficially: insert flat blade screwdriver into gap between metal chassis and plastic housing at the bottom end where the battery locator lugs are and gently lever chassis up and out)

6) Replace in reverse order to reassemble

Hope that reassures you!
