Hi there chaps.
Recently purchased 2 x CP040's off eBay.
One was basically brand new in the box - the other a used unit with no charger.
Boths Radios are Model: H50RDC9AA1AN UHF which are perfect for what I want.
I then contacted Rob and purchased the
CPS R05.13 software in January 2012 to be able to program them. (
they will be used with license when I eventually get back to South Africa, as we use them for neighbourhood watch in our residential area, where we have over 85 radio's already)
I use a USB programming cable and my laptop runs Windows 7PRO.
Running the software - I can read and access the older radio, which indicates
FIRMWARE Version: R03.00.01 and CODE PLUG Version: 03.00 - FREQUENCY Range: 438.000000 - 470.000000
I can read and write changes to the older radio no problem............. however
the newer of the Radio's will not allow me to access it.
About 4 bars appear when clicking on the Read function - then it spits out ERROR CODE: 2409 "unable to get Field Value"
to see whether I can bypass the safety feature - I tried to Clone the info from the first radio to the newer one and another ERROR CODE: 2437 "Codeplug Version not Supported" pops up.
some searching on the Internet seems to indicate that my version software is "old" and that the latest version is
CPS R05.15 ......... would this be the issue with the fact that my CPS cannot read the newer radio...?
Any advice or help would be really great as we leave for SA next week and I'd like to sort it before I go?
