Hi,

We are looking to get hold of 3 GM360's for use in our patrol vehicles, has anyone used these radios? are they any good? the only reason we are looking at them is they seemingly have a PA function on them.

If anyone could possible give me any guidance it would be greatly appreciated.

Excellent radios if you are remaining analogue. I had several GM360's and GM380's before I moved to TRBO.

If you don't need to send 5tone this is an ideal radio. You also have a display so you could programme the radios to send PTT I.D's, emergency button etc. this can all be seen on the radio display.

They do have a PA function, I have never used it personally though. George is the person to speak to about that sort of stuff as its in his field of work.

Overall.. Yes go for it, cracking units!

Cheers,

All our kit is CP040's or we have some older GP340's (having trouble programming them) just want vehicle units that our mobile security guards can use, hence the PA function would be useful.

Digital is great, used it on a couple of close protection jobs, may have to invest if we can get these GP's working.

Thanks

For the PA you will need:

radio
rear connector kit for the radio
suitable screened cable to go through firewall into engine compartment
suitable siren unit with pa function, or a pa (used a woodway 'pa' unit before, easy to wire)
