XTNi doesn't work with CPS

Hello Community,

I bought 2 Motorola radios type XTNi (without display). I also purchased a data cable including the CPS software for activating the VOX feature. When I connect the radio to my pc and start up CPS, it says that the code plug version is too old and that I need to upgrade CPS. 

Can someone tell me how/where to get that upgrade? The current CPS Version is R01.00.

Hi R,

As these are none-commercial radios you might be able download the CPS for free from Motorola... I have no idea though as I don't use this series of radios!

Drop Rob (forum admin) an e-mail from the tab at the top of the page (contact admin team). If you need to purchase it Rob should be able to supply it for you.

Thanks for your reply. I found 2 different software versions on the motorola page. One is for the HC-X series and requires a serial number. The other one is the same one as delivered on the cd with the cable and doesn't work either.  I am pretty disappointed because I paid pretty much for cable and software.
