hi guys,
im having some teething problems setting up  some gp360's for ptt id and emergency alarm.
im doing it as a favour for a local voluntary ambulance group.
all i want to do is set ptt id, and program the emergency button to alert all radios with its id when orange button is pressed, and simply switch the radio on and off to reset (if this is the easiest way).
i followed some online videos that show setting up stun and unstun and select call, which they dont need, but i went through the motions anyway for the sake of it. i find then that sometimes it will transmit and receive ad sometimes it wont, like delay settings or something needs to be tweaked?
help muchos appreciatos!  Huh
thanks!
brian.

Which ambulance group - as st johns and red cross use 2 different formats for emergency calls, and the leading edge numbers for the ptt calls. Some counties dont use ptt id at all, but there is a 'national plan' for calling tone formats.

Off the top of my head, its EEA. Ive only ever heard tones in south wales, where red cross appear to be totally motorola.

hi emsgeorge,
its order of malta in ireland. it is a trial / demo.
As the younger cadets, and specifically females carry out duties, i have highlighted these features on the radios, solely as a personal safety feature. Some voluntary duties include teenage discos, and we all know what they can be like, or involve members being at various locations around a venue. The idea being that the officer i/c in command of the duty knows what radio/callsign is assigned to each member, and as such, if the emergency feature is activated, know exactly who requires assistance and where to respond to. I have done most of the hard work (i hope), but if i could just get someone to run their eyes over the codeplug for me, it would be great as my knowledge is still very basic, and thus limited!

I think ben is going to be your man for this, as Ive uninstalled all the gp series software now, when we got rid of our stocks.

Theres a video session on here with them, and some more topics with how to do emergency signalling as well. I will try to find the thread, but in the meantime, do a search for them, they should come up.

Red Cross for instance uses 99(a1a2a3) for emergency, 44(a1a2a3) for stun, 55(a1a2a3) for unstun, 33(a1a2a3) for silent interrogate, and 00(a1a2a3) for callsign id's.
