Hi All,

I recently purchased a load of gp380's from ebay and have plugged them into my cps software only to find they are password protected. I was wondering if anyone could help with either telling me a way to crack or bypass it. Or if anyone could actually fix it for me. I have 5 in total that are password protected.

I think we should re-name the forum 'Motorola Radio Un-Locking Group' Cheesy Really seems to be the fashion lately!

Dragonbeast92,

You can drop a new codeplug straight over the top of the existing codelug. What version of CPS are you using and what codeplug version is the radio(s) currently using? You can just try and find a matching codeplug in the archive of the CPS and try and overwrite the existing codeplug. This 'new' codeplug must be matching for your radios... type, frequency etc

Codeplug password protection could be on read access but also on write access too.

You have to use USB/Serial Port monitor to catch it or use Labtool to write default codeplug (have to match tanapa code from your radio)
