Hello Ben,

I must apologise, it seems as if I may have created the wrong impression. I am not located in the UK  Sad (If I was, I would likely not be in this situation right now.) I am actually located in Cape Town, Sunny South Africa.  Cheesy  Roll Eyes

If the "pesky Dealer" does not remove the password (or is that "Dealer" and "Pesky password"?) I hope that there is still something someone can do to assist me.....but lets not go there yet, lets see what happens when I get it all together.

Thanx and regards,
Johnnyb

Johnny - interesting post this mate.............  I'm also from Cape Town, living in the UK at the moment but moving back to sunny Vredehoek in 2 weeks time and will be using my radio on the neighbourhood watch frequency.
Have also purchased a CP040 - also sitting with the same password problem  Undecided - Rob sold me the latest CPS ............ so now to try resolve the numpty issue!

Regards
Peter

Hallo Everybody
I got a couple of CP040 (and CM-radios), The only reason for the password is too protect the setup, you can allways overwright the cps, there is two way either clone the radio or use one of the samples as you got in the program.
