I am trying to program my radio to do the following:

Channels 1-4:
-Scan Channel 5 (which is on a repeater)
-7 second delay to answer channel 5's traffic without rollover
-After 7 seconds begin scanning again.

Channel 5 is working fine on the repeater.  I am having issues with the scan list.  Anyone know what setting to enter?

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Nick,

I'm guessing you have created your scan list? What I am reading is that you want to scan from the channel you are currently using i.e. scan only channel 3 and 5? OR, do you want to be scanning accross all 5 channels with channel 5 as a priority?

We need to understand which of the above you want to do as it makes a difference as to how many scan lists you require etc.

The 7 second hang time is simple- Open the scan menu from the tree, click on the second tab of the menu 'Options' and enter 7.00 into the 'Reset (hang) Time' box. Also from that tab you can assign channel 5 as the priority channel... Click the 'Priority Channel' box and drop the menu down to select channel 5. Then change 1000ms in the 'Priority Time' box to 7000. Also, go to the next tab along 'Switches' and select the top check box 'Talkback'... This means that when the scan stops on a channel you are able to talk on that channel, rather than having to manual select the channel and stop the scan.

Let us know which option you are looking for from the above!
