Hello everyone,

I'm trying to build a repeater with to GM360, one as recevier, the other as transmitter.

I bought a "repeater interface cable with delay" on the internet :

http://www.ixcessory.com/Merchant/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=XPC-TXRXD&Category_Code=XPC&Store_Code=I

But it doesn't work... I think I've got a problem with the programmation on the RX Radio.

In order to make a test, I have build a "drect" cable between both GM360 thanks to this tutorial and it works properly: http://kjen.dk/download/EmergencyRepeater.pdf

Should the prgrammation of "I/O Pins" be different with a delay interface cable ?

Has someone already tested this kind of "delay cable" ?

Thank you for your help, sorry for the syntax, I'm french Wink

Bye. @++

Hi,

Is the “Delay Cable” just used to hold the TX on for a few seconds after the carrier disappears?
If so just program the IO lines as follows. You only need four connections.

RX I/O Pin      TX I/O Pin

7. GND         ---   7. GND
8. Car Audio Mute      ---   8. Voice PTT (This will give 3 second TX Hold)
10. Ignition Sense      ---   10. Ignition Sense (Connect to 12V supply)
11. RX Audio      ---   2. Mic Audio

Note.   RX Radio. Prog RX Audio to “Filtered Squelched” and Ignition Sense (Per Radio/Miscellaneous/Global)

TX Radio. Prog “Accessory Connector Mic Enable” and Mic Gain External to 19.1dB ((Per Radio/Miscellaneous/Microphone) and
Ignition Sense as per the RX Radio.

Hope this helps,

Regards, Ian

Thank you Batman Smiley

I've change the cable, with another, followed your instructions and now it's Ok Smiley  The interface cable was defective...

But I've a question about the microphone:

- When I use my "Direct" cable between the two GM360, I don't need to check "Accessory Connector Mic Enable", in this case I can use the microphone plugged on the TX radio and the incoming audio on the accessory connector. BUT I can use it ONLY during the "carried period" (5 seconds with car audio mute). After this time I need to push the PTT again to speak. Is there a solution to maintain the carrier when the PTT button is pressed ?

- The problem does not occur when I use my "Delay cable" because I need to check "Accessory Connector Mic Enable" otherwise I've no Audio on the carrier.

Thank you Smiley
