Radio: GP380 VHF
CodePlug Version: 6.0
CPS Version: R03.08.03

Hello I have an event in a few days with my local Emergency Management Agency and they have recently changed their DCS configuration. I was able to program it correctly on the CPS, but when I click "write to radio," I get an error saying, "Unable to get codeplug from the device in order to verify whether we can write to the device or not."

On the back of the radio the Serial Number differs from the one that the CPS says on "Radio Information".

Back of Radio: R03.10.03
CPS Displays: R03.08.08

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.  Communication will be essential to this event and this is my only radio I can use at the moment.

Hi,

Have you read the radio first, made the alterations and then writing back? Or, are you trying to dump a codeplug onto the radio that is 'stock' from the CPS?

It reads the radio successfully I made the changes but when I go to re write it with the new changes it give me that error. I'm not at my programming computer at the moment, but I am going to try reading, then rewriting without making any changes and see if it still give me the error.

no worries matie - we've all done it at some point !.

I dont know why they 'hid' the invalid fields bit so well, its so easy to make some changes and forget to put a value in  box, or tick the wrong box etc ...
