hi, some infos about firmwares:
What’s new in MOL Release 1.8.20? MPT1327 Support – Subscriber firmware enhancements to support Motorola’s MPT1327 Generic Option Board. Resolved Issues – The following issues have been fixed: • CMPD01559236: Subscriber unable to key up while on simplex channel during scan mode.
What’s new in MOL Release 1.8.11? Resolved Issues – The following issues have been fixed: • CCMPD01565552: The MTR3000 repeater firmware supports additional error handling capabilities to overcome an issue that caused the repeater to enter a locked state on rare occasions during power up. The lock up was due to a communication error between the Power Amplifier module and the Station Control module on the MTR3000 which in turn caused a PA EEPROM read failure.
What’s new in MOL Release 1.8.10? Connect Plus 1.1 – The following features / enhancements have been added: • Subscriber: Nuisance delete, Volume Offset, Support Unique IDs and Unit IDs, Man Down (CfS feature). • DR 3000 & MTR3000 repeater: Controller hang time adjust, Site Trunking Indication, End to End Text Message ACK, and Control Channel Roll-Over upon channel interference. One Touch Telemetry Revert Enhancement – The following enhancements have been added: • The One Touch Telemetry Revert feature can now be initiated even if there is an ongoing (non-emergency) call in progress on the radio’s current channel. On pressing the one touch telemetry button, the radio switches to the revert channel, sends the telemetry message and then returns to it’s previous channel (i.e. the channel on which the call is in progress). • The One Touch Telemetry Revert feature can now be initiated even if the radio is currently on an analogue channel. On pressing the one touch telemetry button, the radio switches to the revert channel (which must be a digital channel), sends the telemetry message and then returns to it’s previous channel (i.e. the analogue channel). Improved short data transfer for 3rd party device – Enables a 3rd party device to use an XCMP Data Session to send out short data (less than 48 bytes) via CSBK signalling. Options are available for the data to be discarded immediately if the channel is busy and for the data to interrupt interruptible voice transmissions. This feature is currently supported for Option Board and Non PC applications. Disable Noise Suppressor – Enables the internal noise suppressor to be disabled to allow the radio to be used as a transmission medium for unfiltered audio tone signals. This radio wide CPS configured feature enables / disables the noise suppressor for both analogue and digital modes. Resolved Issues – The following issues have been fixed: • CCMPD0152546: Scanning Change. It is now possible to scan multiple digital channels containing identical RX/TX frequencies and colour codes. In previous releases the radio would not hear transmissions contained in the RX Group List of scanned identical Channels. • CCMPD01529530: Audio Hole removal. With R01.08.00 firmware only, radios configured for talk-around (direct) mode and "Allow Interruption" would hear breaks in the received speech. • CCMPD01499327 / CCMPD01523063: Radios operating with enhanced privacy are even more robust to users repetitively pressing and releasing PTT during the repeater hang time. In previous releases, under these conditions, a receiving radio might very occasionally be unable to descramble the audio correctly or remain muted for some or all of the transmission.
What’s new in MOL Release 1.8.2? Resolved Issues – The following issues have been fixed: • CCMPD01506809: MTR 3000 repeater “Slot Swap” issue on Connect Plus control channel which results in a state where XRC 9000 controller will not allow any radios to register to repeaters at that site. • CCMPD01533210: MTR 3000 repeater “No Tx Audio” issue where Rx subscriber units remain muted during a digital call.
What’s new in System Release 1.8? Digital Telephone Patch – Enables MOTOTRBO digital system users to place and receive telephone calls which are routed via a gateway between a landline telephone network and MOTOTRBO radio system. This feature utilizes a Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) Analogue Phone Patch (APP) box and a Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) line. Telephone users can call individual MOTOTRBO radios and MOTOTRBO talkgroups, while MOTOTRBO radios can call individual telephones. This feature is supported both by the DR 3000 and the MTR3000 repeater. One Touch Telemetry – Enables telemetry commands to be initiated on digital revert channels by means of up to 3 CPS configured One Touch Telemetry buttons. These digital revert channels can either be repeater or direct mode channels and it is recommended that they are taken from the channel pool in order to separate voice and command transmissions. Enhanced Channel Access – A call procedure in which an initiating radio transmits a channel access request and waits for access to be granted before transmitting. This improves call success rates by minimising (data / voice) collisions. This procedure is always used on Capacity Plus systems and during telephone calls, and is optional for polite (data / voice) transmissions on Single Site Repeater and IP Site Connect systems. Text Message Alert – Enables the received Text Message Alert Tone to be configured for “Momentary” or “Repetitive” via the CPS and / or radio menu. For the “Momentary” setting, the incoming text message alert tone is played once and the alert screen is automatically cleared after 60s. For the “Repetitive” setting, the incoming text message alert tone is played repeatedly and the alert screen is not cleared until either the user reads the message, the preset timer expires or the radio is turned off. Power Up Tone Disable – Allows the Self Test Alert and Accessory Alert tones to be enabled / disabled via the CPS and / or radio menu. Alarm Output from GPIO – Enables the mobile radio to generate an external alarm output via GPIO upon receiving an emergency alarm / call. Receiver Range Enhancement – Improved receiver sensitivity which results in a better user experience under weak signal conditions. This feature is implemented for MOTOTRBO subscribers and repeaters (both the DR 3000 and MTR3000). RDAC Updates – Resolved the following issues: 1. Error #4410 when programming the IP address with leading zero's in RDAC. 2. When VC++2005 Redistributable is uninstalled, it does not get reinstalled via repair.
