I've three used Motorola GP320s which I purchased from an ex-hire seller on eBay, the radios are in good enough nick and are programmed to my requirements.

However, I've noticed that after the PTT is pushed it makes a beeping noise three times at a interval. The beep is very similar to the low battery warning but I don't think there is any issue with the batteries.

Could it be something which was left programmed like telegraph or signalling? I simply need them for simplex used, and so the beeping in an annoyance and worrying.

Hi BGH,

The low battery warning is two short sharp fairly low key beeps after releasing the PTT and at intervals after releasing the PTT.

This sounds more like a 5tone/De-Key signal. If it is this should only happen when the PTT is released and at no other time. Do you have the CPS/programming cable, or did you have them programmed at a dealers? If you have your own CPS save the codeplug and e-mail it over to me.

If you don't have the CPS it might be a trip to your local dealers and ask them to have a look at the programming!

I've given them a full charge and it still occurs, so it's unlikely to be battery in my opinion. If you let me know your email I can send you the file over, as I have the CPS and necessary cable although for convience it was the dealer that did the original programming, but once I know what to change I can do it myself.

No I don't beleive it is your batteries either.

Send me the codeplug over and I will take a look.
