Hi Jono,

I have never used a private call system on GP's... I used a seperate 'management' channel for 'private' calls with members of my team on the GP range. Now on the TRBO system private calls are a basic feature with no programming.

You can assign an alias to radio numbers. This means the name of the radio user will come up on the screen rather than the number, and also you will be able to look through your contact list and just select it. To do this drop down the 'Per Radio' tab on the tree. Open 'Contact List' and add the names to the top line (alias) e.g. Electrician then add the number- 102 (enter 102/number in the address box). Click the green plus button at the bottom of the box to add more contatcs.

Remember... when you use the keypad to enter a number you only need enter the last 3 digits (102, 103, 104). The 555 is at the start of the telegram which you programmed.

Also, On the 340's try de-selecting the individual call alert and leaving the decoder definition as general... I have a feeling this is what is causing issues for you.

Have a go and let us know how you get on!

I trying to config a 380 myself, but it has to be able to reach to different "groups"...
The radios use 5-digits, and one group starts with 65XXX, and the other groups varies, some starts with 05XXX and some with 91XXX.
I'm really not sure how to configure my 380 so i can call all the different radios with 5-tone?

I also need to 340's to respond on to different 5-tones, one individual, and one groupcall (65XXX-radioID, 65XXX groupcall).
Please help me Ben!
