Hi,

That question is very much 'how longs a piece of string'. Range/coverage depends on many factors. If you are operating the radios simplex (back-2-back) then the general rule of thumb is between 1-4 miles depending on terrain, operating band (HF, VHF, UHF), location- town/city/countryside etc.

Price can vary depending on where you buy from. If you purchase new then you are looking at approx £420 list price + VAT. However, I have seen GP380's on eBay for around £80-£100. BEWARE- many radios sold on eBay are stolen and you should take this into account before purchasing. If you want to buy new speak to Rob-Admin on this forum, he is able to supply new and direct from Motorola.

Handling stolen goods is never a good idea in the UK. I have never purchased any of my radios from eBay and probably never would. Saying that I get an excellent discount from my supplier!

Each to their own though I suppose!!

Most important about eBay...Most of the "Motorola "radios for sale there are Chinese knockoffs.
