I understand that the drivers for the serial-usb cable will not work on 7 or vista.  So what I did was I created a partition and installed WinXP.  The drivers still did not work.  Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm still a Motorola Rookie.  I apologize if I sound stupid!

Thanks in advance!

This is for the GP series then?

I have used a serial-USB cable in the past and Windows found the drivers and installed them for me. In the CPS make sure you select the correct Comm Port. Click File>Read>then select the Comm Port.

My GP CPS works on my Windows 7 with no issues.

Yes it is for the GP series.  Every time I plug in the cable it says "Device Not Recognized"  Would the CPS still pick it up though? And what drivers do you use?
