Hi guys thanks for all the help you are giving me, just another one for today.i have a uhf gm300 which will not program through the dos based cps and i am fairly sure wont work at all on any windows based cps, it comes up with a serial bus cant acklowledge error, is there any other way to program it maybe from the rear socket or clone another gm300 that way ?? any help appreciated

Theres a lot of us who have never worked on the 300 series, as they are so old - and require a p2 or slower to program !.

Im sure someone will be along to chip in soon.

And its not although you have a paid subscription now, is it ? ? ? ? ?

ive tried to programme one of my gm300 using my old pc which does programme the gp300 but still comes up with the same problems you are having

Hi Tony,

As George said, there are many of us who have not worked/programmed 300 series radios as they are now quite an old radio. The first radio I ever programmed was a GP320 (yes I'm still only young  Undecided).

Andreas pops in from time to time, he seems to have excellent knowledge across the spectrum of Motorola kit and programming... If you are really stuck you could drop him a PM!

thanks for that BW i have programmed loads of the gm300s with my dinasour computer so am struggling with programming this one, dont get me wrong i am not that bothered about the fact i cant use that radio, i am just trying to learn a little more about the radio world so would have been nice to know if it was me doing something wrong or if there was another way to do it but thanks for the help you have given, oh and btw if you are reading this EMS George i know i have not subscribed to this forum but have all intentions of in the near future i have a few other pressing financial commitments i need to see to first but thanks for pointing it out
