Hi Jono,

Not that I am aware of. Motorola run their own dealer courses as and when required. The GP3XX series is now 'old' CPS/programming, however, if you can get your head around 5tone etc you will certainly be able to deal with CP/TRBO programming.

Possibly if we could rustle up enough interest on the forum there are a few of us who would possibly consider running a day course or something, maybe in conjunction with the forum?! The videos Dave made are very good, they explain the most common programming questions. The problem comes because people are not willing to invest their cash into getting licensed software, this gives them access to everything they need and makes the job very easy (with the knowledge). People buy radio's from eBay etc and just expect to enter their frequencies into a box and everything just works! As we all know its not that simple and it does require special bits of kit and software... Rant over lol  Tongue

I have quite possibly spent thousands over the years on leads, cables, RIB boxes, flash adaptors, software and so on... This way I know that whatever I am confronted with there is a very good chance I will have what I need  Smiley

Yes indeed we all started somewhere... Many years ago! Even today I would not by any means class myself as a pro, as like many of the members on the forum we have taught ourselves pretty much everything we know (and 'bricked' a few radios along the way lol). It's nice to hear you have gone out and spent money on the real deal equipment rather than trying to blag your way through! R03.11.15 is the very latest CPS so you are fully up to date with that.

The RIB is not essential, I have flashed radio's using an official 232 cable (not USB), I beleive you WILL require the proper Motorola cable to flash radios (part number:RKN4075).
