Hi Everyone,

Hope I can get help in this fantastic board,

We've got about 70 Motorola GP688 and I would like to know, which Software is the best to program the radios, I meen, how to transfer the created contacts into the radios, I managed to do this but I had to transfer the comlpete *.Rad-file and this meens I had to change every time the radio number. Is there a possiblity to transfer ONLY the contact into the radios? which software is the best to do this?.

Also I would like to know if is it possible to use a different tone for our alarm system (the radios are linked to our fire alarm system).

I would appreciate any help you can give me

Many thanks ,

rob (admin on here) can sell you the software at a discounted rate.

for the fire alarm tones, we need to know a bit more about how its linked into the system - does your fire alarm have a base attached, and sends a selcall ?

Being this is a 688 (trunked verison), I haven't had a lot of experience with programming them. I would assume its simply a mdc selcall, and you could change the priority of the decode to make it a bit more 'get the hell out' - like putting it into an emergency decode.
