General description of 3 problems:
I wish to send in for repair: Please advise/comment/guestimate/suggest
1 x motorola GP340 UHF>radio not powering up. DC up to and out of on off pot. Not able to take repair further.
1 x motorola GP340 UHF> noisey audio on receiving radios when this radio is in transmit. Using BNC test adaptor audio cleans up..... Dont know if RF jack is simply droping the power down or if unit has a faulty aerial socket assembly>unable to take repair further.
1 x motorola GM360 UHF> Radio has code plug error on display. Do not service/supply this model. Do not have programing lead or software. Radio was with customer for well over 1 year supplied by another Co before error occurred. Customer has replacement now. If radio is repaired it will also need re-programming to other frequency.

Please advise on return postage costs for above.

I need to get 2 * GM 900 programmed for the use of my local Search and Rescue unit as a repeater they are currently in a GR 900 housing with correct connections. I have GM 900 software but for some reason it will not write back to the radio only reads the codeplugs, any suggestions, help or offers of programming greatly received.
How much is this likely to cost?

Yes using, slow computer running windows 98, booting straight into dos - not windows DOS, using A DOS boot disc. This computer usually managess to programme my other GP300's, GM 350's and GM 360

Hi,

The GM900 Series does not require very slow computer, just need to boot to DOS.
Sometimes, radio have trouble to program via RJ45, use the accessory connector instead of control head.

There is an old dos RSS : MR900 PC6915 , used for GM900 repeater, but if I remember correctly, you do not need specific RSS for GR900

I am a completely new to Motorola technology, but I have recently bought 6 Motorola GP 340 walkie talkies second hand, and cannot get them to work. When I try band 1, I cannot get any connection, and when I try any other band, I get a constant tone. Does anyone know if they they need reprogramming or repair?
many Thanks
